Thank you for visiting my site. I've been Paediatric Emergency Medicine consultant for 20 years, with 15 years living & working as a children's emergency doctor in Southern Africa (Malawi & South Africa).
In 2022 I completed a Master's in Public Policy at Princeton University, USA. I have a previous Master's in Patient Safety and Clinical Decision-Making in Emergency Medicine from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. As of 2022 I have been working part-time as a locum Paediatric Emergency Medicine Consultant in the NHS.
My areas of interest include: patient safety, quality improvement, healthcare systems strengthening, emergency transport, triage, standards, health education & training. At Princeton I developed additional expertise in the effects of climate change on health, international health security and health policy challenges in Low- and Middle-Income Countries,
My mission is to use the knowledge, skills and experience I've acquired to help improve the emergency care of children locally, regionally and nationally, as well as on the global health platform via the technical consulting route.
